Overview

Percutaneous Tibial Nerve Stimulation (PTNS) is a minimally invasive treatment for overactive bladder (OAB) and associated symptoms of urinary urgency, urinary frequency, and urge incontinence.

The Procedure

During treatment, a small, slim needle electrode is inserted near your ankle. The needle is connected to a battery-powered stimulator. This sends mild electrical impulses through the tibial nerve to the sacral nerve plexus, the group of nerves that control the bladder.

Benefits

Non-Surgical

No incisions or implants are required.

Effective

Many patients see significant improvement in bladder control after a series of weekly sessions.
