Overview
Kidney cancer (Renal Cell Carcinoma) incidence increases with age. Many small tumors are found incidentally during scans for other reasons.
Symptoms
- Blood in urine
- Flank pain
- Abdominal mass
- Unexplained weight loss
Treatment Options
Active Surveillance
For small, slow-growing tumors in frail patients, monitoring may be safer than surgery.
Surgery or Ablation
Partial nephrectomy or cryoablation can remove or destroy the tumor while preserving kidney function.
